Personalized Daily Pilates Work-out

In the Studio we often liken learning Pilates to learning a new language. If you were going to move to a new country with a different language, you would probably practice that new language more than twice a week. Yes, a Teacher offering knowledge and guidance is necessary however the lessons cannot progress without self-practice for mastery. This self-practice identifies personal challenges and allows the Student to deepen their understanding of the work.

Home Practice is also a great way to focus on specific movements that challenge your body. Self-management of your body is essential to participate in group classes safely. Teachers will give general corrections but are unable to stop the group for one person. The ability to add classes to your practice is huge. The tempo of group work typically will challenge your breath and endurance. A good class will turn in the work into a dynamic workout that includes cardiovascular benefits.

We asked our Teachers to share their personal versions of a Pilates Mat workout based on their physical needs. You will learn a little more about our Staff and their body challenges. Ask your Teacher about creating a Personalized Pilates Mat Workout for home practice!
