Jennifer Mapalad - Master Trainer
Jennifer graduated in 2001 from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. The fitness world has always been an interest of hers for many years. About 7 years ago she began her journey with pilates as a student. Shortly after she began, she was diagnosed with a chronic illness. She went from being a healthy young woman to being exhausted just walking down the hall. This was a very depressing time for her. After a few months she began to attempt pilates again and in just a few weeks she began to feel more vibrant. She felt that pilates gave her quality of life back. A little over five years ago she felt that she wanted to help others that may have set backs, so she decided to pursue teaching pilates.

Jennifer is certified from BASI pilates and The Physical Mind Institute. She has studied with master trainers such as Mari Winsor, Julian Littleford, Rael Isocowitz, and Karen Clippenger. She attends numerous workshops and conferences in the pilates field which includes working with first-generation pilates instructors Ron Fletcher, Kathy Grant, and Lolita San Miguel. Jennifer's background in medicine allows her to take the principals of pilates and apply them to clients with specific ailments such as post surgery rehabilitation (knees, back, shoulders, and hips) and specific conditions such as Parkinson's disease and fibromyalgia. She also works with professional athletes to help apply the six principals of pilates which incluede centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow to help them perform. Jennifer loves working with clients of all shapes, sizes, strengths, and flexibility.

Melissa Hehmann - Certified Pilates and Yoga Instructor
Melissa graduated in 1999 from Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in Dietetics. Melissa is currently a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She has been attracted to nutrition, fitness, and health most of her life. She began taking yoga in 2000 and became certified as a yoga instructor under Rod Stryker in 2002. Pilates showed up on her radar in 2007 and she became an instructor within a year of being a student. Melissa challenges herself with running and roller derby, which are pretty rough on the body. Pilates and yoga have allowed her to maintain her strength and flexibility while allowing her to pursue the activities she loves. She has recently become licensed in the Fletcher Barrework and plans to pursue more training with Fletcher Pilates. Melissa blends her diverse background into a challenging, individualized, and balanced workout for clients. She believes in mindful eating, mindful movement, and mindful living.

Rachel Davidson - Certified Pilates and Yoga Instructor
Rachel discovered yoga in 2007, coinciding with beginning a new role as a small business owner, and fell in love with it almost immediately, as she became increasingly aware of it's calming and balancing effects on her otherwise hectic life. She quickly found herself developing a daily practice, exploring workshops to deepen her understanding, sharing her enthusiasm with anyone who was interested, and incorporating asana and pranayama into the water fitness classes she was teaching at the time.

Rachel recently obtained her RYT200 yoga certification at Indianapolis's own Cityoga under the tutelage of the incomparable Nikki Myers and Marsha Pappas. In 2001, she acquired a BS in Human Development and Family Studies with minors in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University, and is looking forward to continuing education with Yoga Alliance, and sharing her love for yoga for a long time to come.
